The Doheny Foundation is a grantmaking organization that provides funding to organizations throughout Los Angeles County that work in social welfare, health and wellness, education, and religion. To support their efforts, the NDSC team built the foundation an interactive dashboard that mapped the locations of Doheny Foundation grant recipients on top of a number of key neighborhood indicators such as poverty, unemployment rates, and homelessness. The foundation uses the dashboard to understand where there are areas of high need with relatively few current grant recipients so that they can expand their grantmaking into new neighborhoods of high need.
